at the Longview Public Library

The Library offers a number of resources useful to those researching their roots. We house the Genealogy Collection of print resources which is located on the Library's mezzanine level and maintained by the Lower Columbia Genealogical Society (LCGS).

Library staff also maintain the below Obituary Index. You are welcome to view and print copies of obituaries and other articles from the our microfilm collection of local newspapers. Our microfilm reader allows printing as well as scanning to a USB drive. If you are unable to come to the library, you may request copies of obituaries by submitting this form.

The Library also offers access to Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest Online to anyone visiting the library. Cardholders can also log in to HeritageQuest remotely.
