Adult Book Club

Monthly, Last Wednesday | 6:30 p.m. (Social time at 6:00)

Join us at the Library to discuss a variety of titles voted on by the group. The MJO Room opens at 6 p.m. for social time before the discussion begins at 6:30. This is after our current closing time, so please enter through the first floor doors by the parking lot on Maple Street. Sign up and pick up a copy of the book for only $7, while supplies last, thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Library. Digital formats may also be found on Libby and/or hoopla. Book Club for Our Times

Monthly, Second Mondays | 6 p.m.

Come discuss titles that focus on contemporary issues affecting Cowlitz County and the nation. Potential topics might include the current political divisiveness, race and gender issues, climate change, wealth inequality, poverty, and homelessness. Titles may be fiction or nonfiction and chosen by the group from a list suggested by library staff and LCC instructors. Sign up and get a copy of the book at the Library. Cookbook Book Club

Monthly, Third Thursdays | 6 p.m.

Cookbook enthusiasts are invited to make a recipe from a chosen cookbook or topic, and bring it to share. We'll discuss recipes and cookbooks, choose future cookbooks to feature, and meet other cooks in this monthly club (No meeting in November). Ebooks are available via Libby and hoopla with your library card.

Romance Reads: Fight the Patriarchy

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

A book club dedicated to those that want the happily-ever-after or happy-for-now. We will meet every other month to explore different romance genres and have stigma-free discussions. At each meeting we will vote on the next meeting's book. Books will be available one month prior and can be purchased for $7. Digital copies may be available through hoopla and/or Libby.
